Hello! My name is AK, and I am a lighting designer for live events who graduated from Ithaca College School of Music, Theatre, and Dance with a BFA in Theatrical Production and Design concentrating in lighting design. Originally from Seattle, Washington, I’m currently based in London, England having just finished my master’s at Rose Bruford Performing Arts College. My past projects have included designing lights for many theatre productions, including plays, musicals, and dance, and I am currently broadening that scope by working in concerts and other live music performances. Watching live performances where all aspects of production work together beautifully to create a cohesive and meaningful piece truly inspires me to continue pushing myself in my creative work and collaborative work, as well as in my personal life. Outside of being a lighting designer, I enjoy nature photography, rock climbing, just generally spending time outside, and spending time with my cat, Pickles. I hope to travel and be a part of making theatre and live art all over the world!
